The Tiger Land Resort
The
Jewel of Central India, Kanha National Park is one of the largest Wildlife Parks
of India, and one of the best managed. Nestling in the breathtaking Mekal Hills, the
rich Kanha forests are the ancestral home of the Baiga & Gond Tribals, among
the earliest and most fascinating of India's inhabitants.
The Park's most famous resident is the TIGER, and the world's largest Park population
of TIGER can be found here. The rare Indian Swamp Deer , or Barasingha, is also
native to these parts. However, Kanha offers a rich bounty to all Nature lovers,
whether in Plant, Animal or Bird life, and also the experience of an ancient
culture unchanged by time.
The Tigerland Resort is located near the Kisli Gate of the Park. It lies in
5 acres and is well tucked away from the Main Road. Surrounded on three sides
by the lush Kanha Forest, it ensures privacy and peace, and it's perfect Jungle
setting allows ample sightings of Animal and Bird life around the Resort itself.
A resident Naturalist is available for Campfire discussions during cool evenings.
The Royal Tiger Resort at
Kanha is tastefully designed over an area of 6 acres in Kanha
National Park. This 3-star property is ideally located very
close to the entrance of the park at Mukki. A dense forest of mature sal
trees surrounds this resort consisting of eighteen excellent
suites. These suites are thoughtfully distributed around the
resort in clustersof 2 and 4 to cater to different size groups.
The rooms in these suites are airy and
offer an excellent view of the surrounding jungle thanks to the
large windows.
The rooms feel fresh and are cleaned daily by the efficient
resort staff. The attached bathrooms are of excellent quality and come
as a pleasant surprise in this wild area. Each suite has an adjoining
verandah, which is an ideal place to have a cup of tea or some
refreshments while reading a book on nature. The resort has it's own
well stocked library.
To ensure that you do not suffer due to the erratic power situation in
the area, the resort has it's own full generator back up facility.
Kanha Jungle Lodge
is near Kanha National Park. Kanha, with an area of
1940 sq. km (740 sq. miles), at an altitude of 460 MSL (1500 ft.) is
situated in the State of Madhya Pradesh, in the heart
of India, a region that has a rich habitat encouraging a wide variety of
wildlife. A forest of deciduous hardwood, including Sal
is interspersed with stands of bamboo and accented with colorful
displays of flowering trees. The valley and plateaus are primarily
meadow lands (or maidans) in pleasant contrast to the surrounding lush
woodlands.
Within their boundaries Kanha protects a
multitude of animals and birds, such as Chital, Chausinga (4-horned
antelope) Sambar, Muntjak (barking deer), Gaur, leopard, wild-dog, gray
jackal, wild boar, sloth bear and, of course, the sovereign of the Park
- the Bengal tiger. Kanha also has rare and endangered Barasingha, a
hard-ground-adapted swamp deer, and the black buck antelope.
Situated
in the heart of Kanha (Madhya Pradesh, India), the Tuli Tiger Resort

to come and explore Kanha. The Resort has a setting which makes you
feel that you are camping out in the jungle itself. This resort is
well placed in the buffer zone of the Park. It has a natural lake
created in its boundary which extends to 80,000 sq. meters. It is
adjacent to a rivulet which meets the main river called Banjar at a
distance of about 100 meters.
